The London Jewish Health Partnership (LJHP) was established by the London Jewish Forum following the pandemic to connect key health partners within the NHS, councillors and public health teams with Jewish organisations working in the health space. It focuses on improving access to health and social care, including mental health, ageing, and support for vulnerable groups.
LJHP works to reduce health inequities among Jewish Londoners by promoting immunisation, access to screening, and other preventative interventions.
LJHP also advises partners on health communications to the Jewish community in London, helping ensure that messaging is inclusive and culturally competent.
LJHP regularly takes part in communal events such as the annual Maccabi Community Fun Run and Shomrim Emergency Open Day, sharing our work with the community, promoting healthy lifestyle, distributing vital health resources and offering free health checks.

July 2026: Board of Deputies and London Jewish Forum launch new £1.5 million lottery-backed health project
The Board of Deputies of British Jews and the London Jewish Forum have been awarded £1.5 million funding from the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to address structural antisemitism and inequalities in the health sector which impact the Jewish community.
The award will establish and provide five years of core funding to create the Jewish Health Equity Partnership (JHEP). JHEP will be one of nine partners in NLCF’s new Health Inequities Partnership that will work together to tackle health inequalities caused by structural racism and discrimination of all kinds. It represents the most significant investment to date in tackling health inequities affecting Jewish communities in England.
The initiative comes at a time of growing recognition that Jewish patients and healthcare professionals continue to experience prejudice within the health system as highlighted by Lord Mann’s recent review on antisemitism in the NHS and reinforced this week by Baroness Amos’s report on maternity and neonatal care.
JHEP will work with partners across the health system to improve understanding of Jewish health needs, support research and training, tackle antisemitism and help ensure Jewish patients and healthcare professionals receive fair and equitable treatment.
It will build on the achievements of the London Jewish Health Partnership, a London Jewish Forum project, and expand over its first few years to cover all of England’s Jewish communities in partnership with existing bodies.
Co‑Chair of the London Jewish Forum Amanda Bowman said: “No one should experience prejudice when accessing healthcare or working within the health system, and this partnership will turn greater understanding of Jewish health needs into practical action that improves people’s experiences of care.”

The Jewish Health Equity Partnership will work with NHS bodies, local authorities, researchers and community organisations to:
